Yoga and Radiant Heat
Radiant heat is a natural resource cast upon us from the sun. As you arrive in our hot yoga studio you will immediatley feel a calming effect as the prana or energy enters your body from our eco-friendly and sophisiticated ThermaRay heating system. Exploring your potential energy in a warm environment through yoga asana, breath awareness, compression and release will support and promote your body’s natural ability to release toxins, heal muscle tissue trauma, and improve circulation. We encourage you to listen to your body, rest in savasana as needed, and allow the heat to elevate your experience through a body and mind connection.
Hydration & Sweat
B.K.S Iyengar said it and we agree, “Penetration of our mind is our goal, but in the beginning to set things in motion, there is no substitute for sweat.” Enabling your body to sweat cleanses the largest organ in your body being the skin. Millions of skins cells are created every day and this continual process is fueled by a body that is well-nourished by vitamins, minerals, hydration, oxygen and antioxidants. You will take an average of 750 breaths each class and it is reccommended that you prepare by drinking your body weight divided by 2 in ounces of water daily. Replenish essential salt’s and minerals regularly and you will be glowing before, during and after each Urban Exhale experience.
Improved Focus & Sleep
The practice of yoga continues to grow in it’s popularity for many reasons including that it provides a space to connect to community while releasing stress from your body as you indulge your senses in a healthy environment. During all Urban Exhale classes you will be offered the opportunity to explore the connection to your breath and the sensations in your body. Your central nervous system is directly effected when you focus on your breathing and you will be left to discover the effects of a calm and clear mind.
